"Poker Series" Returns to 1/4 Mile Track this Sunday

Bridgeport Speedway will be unusually quiet this Friday and Saturday night as there will be no racing action on either track on either day. With many of the regular Saturday night drivers expected to compete in Grandview Speedway's Freedom 76 on Saturday, this weekend will be all about the smaller cars, on the smaller track, competing on Sunday.
The very popular "Poker Series" returns with the 270cc, 600cc Micros, and the Tobias Slingshots, looking to add another card to their hand.
The 600cc division will be in the spotlight as they compete "wingless" for a winner's purse of $1,000, and a $500 bonus for the best "Poker" hand. In the last "Poker Series" event held for this division earlier this year an amazing 41 cars were on hand. Track management feels that number could be even higher this Sunday.
The 270cc division will compete for $300 to win, and $300 for the driver with the best overall hand. Joining these two divisions, which normally compete on Friday night at Bridgeport, will be the Tobias Slingshots. The Slingshots will not be completing their "Poker" hand this weekend, but will be looking to add another card towards the championship, and the $500 that comes with it.
Rounding out the night will be the Four-Cylinder. All divisions will compete on the inner 1/4 mile track.
Spectator gates will open at 3pm, with racing scheduled to get underway at 6pm. Adult admission for this show is $15.
